Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1996, in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish and English roots. Her mother hails from Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's previous marriage. They lived within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, then moved to Victoria district of London. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos Aires to Victoria was a struggle and she was not able to take the time to learn English in hopes of going again to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands to Hill House. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. She dropped out of high school at 16 to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy's dream to become an acting star began at a young, age. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the very first model to hire her as a professional model.
